Sumaria Systems Wins NETCENTS-2 NetOps Small Business Task Order for the BITI BAN Recapitalization
DANVERS, Mass. - Sumaria Systems, Inc., provider of information technology, engineering, and professional services, has won the NETCENTS-2 NetOps Small Business Task Order for the Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) Base Area Network (BAN) Recapitalization.
The BITI program will recapitalize the critical nodes located in the Critical Base Area Network (BAN) at more than 30+ United States Air Force (USAF) bases.
"Sumaria is very pleased to be chosen for this critical USAF infrastructure upgrade effort," stated Dian Tribout, Sumaria NETCENTS-2 NetOps Program Manager. "We will be working very closely with the Government and each base to ensure accurate site surveys and integration and installation plan development for each base."
The BITI BAN Recapitalization effort consists of upgrading the Critical BAN by installing all required core nodes (CNs), critical distribution nodes (CDNs), and critical access nodes (CANs) with new nodes, as well as upgrading the infrastructure within the communication equipment locations (CELs) that support these nodes. Each base varies in both the number of network nodes and the mix of nodes types.
Work includes project management, document creation, risk management, site surveys and integration planning, installation and upgrade, system testing and verification, system cutover, system training, configuration and data management, warranty and maintenance support, on-site support, asset management, and technical order development.
