Sumaria Systems joins the Supply-Chain Council

DANVERS, Mass. - Sumaria Systems, Inc., provider of information, technology, engineering and professional services and solutions, is a Supply-Chain Council member as of November 1, 2006.

"Sumaria is very pleased to be involved in the Supply-Chain Council and in supporting its mission of supply chain management development, education and research," stated Veni Sumaria, President & CEO, Sumaria Systems, Inc.

The Supply-Chain Council (SCC) is a global, not-for-profit trade association that sponsors and supports educational programs and development of the Supply-Chain Operations Reference-model (SCOR), which is designed to improve users' efficiency and productivity.

"Being an SCC member allows Sumaria to utilize and participate in the development and improvement of best practices and processes for the supply chain; which in turn, will allow Sumaria to provide added efficiencies to its logistics and transportation customers," stated George Duffield, VP of St. Louis Regional Operations, Sumaria Systems, Inc.

The SCC has approximately 1,000 world-wide members and is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
