Sumaria Systems awarded two call orders under the Business, Engineering & Technical Assistance contract

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sumaria Systems, Inc., provider of information, technology, engineering and professional services and solutions, has been awarded two call orders under its Business, Engineering & Technical Assistance (BETA) contract awarded in December 2006.

Sumaria has been selected to provide desktop enterprise architecture (EA) for the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Warfighting Integration & Chief Information Office (SAF/XC), as well as postal operations and policy analysis support to the SAF/XC. Both efforts add up to approximately $2 million over five years.

The SAF/XC’s mission involves leading integration of Air Force warfighting and operational support capabilities to enable command and control of forces while anticipating situations, capabilities and limitations. As the Air Force warfighting integrator and Chief Information Officer, SAF/XC develops Air Force policy, instructions and plans to integrate warfighting and operational support capabilities.

About the SAF/XC
The Air Force warfighting integrator and Chief Information Officer, SAF/XC develops Air Force policy, instructions and plans to integrate warfighting and operational support capabilities. As part of this effort, SAF/XC responsibilities include providing warfighter integration support to the Air Force through strategic planning and requirements generation; ensuring governance and policy adherence to the Air Force as required by policy and law; delivering communication and infrastructure capabilities necessary to enable Air Force capabilities; delivering warfighter systems and services; representing the Air Force in horizontal and vertical integration initiatives; developing and advocating Air Force positions on various policies, standards and actions and initiatives; and providing guidance and direction for managing the Air Force Communications and Information community and organizations.
