Sumaria Systems awarded 554th Electronic Systems Wing Group and Squadron Support PASS Task Order worth $27 million
DANVERS, Mass. - Sumaria Systems, Inc., provider of information, technology, engineering and professional services and solutions, has been awarded the 554th Electronic Systems Wing (554 ELSW) Group and Squadron Support task order under the Professional Acquisition Support Services Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) prime contract awarded in April 2007. This task order is worth approximately $27 million.
"Sumaria is an Air Force centric company with a unique blend of Air Force advisory and assistance services program experience combined with IT support and sustainment capabilities essential to meeting 554 ELSW task objectives," stated Paul Denno, Sumaria’s PASS Program Manager.
The 554 ELSW Task Order spans four functional areas of acquisition support, financial management, contracting, and administrative and human resources, over six offices at three geographically-separated locations. Work will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex in Alabama, and Hanscom AFB in Massachusetts.
"More than 95% of Sumaria’s staff support USAF programs, and we will provide the full range of business, analytical, financial and acquisition services required for strategic and tactical planning, training, research, project specific process development and change management to facilitate 554 ELSW acquisition, financial management and future operations transformation," stated Harry Hewitt, Sumaria’s VP of Montgomery Regional Operations and the 554 ELSW PASS Task Order Manager.
The mission of the 554 ELSW is to deliver and support secure, integrated, effective operational support systems providing capabilities to warfighters and commanders. The 554 ELSW is responsible for acquisition, development, fielding, operations and sustainment of all Air Force operational combat support systems that fall under the Electronic Systems Center (ESC), which provides the latest in command and control and information systems for the Air Force, the Department of Defense and U.S. allies. The ESC currently manages approximately 200 programs and has an annual budget of more than $3 billion.
